Some of the lowest numberst we've seen at LVHN we experienced a period of tif over 10 days where we didnt have a single intubated, ventilated patient with Covid-19 in our hospital system, Dr Timothy Friel of Lehigh Valley Health Netwok says still the numbers arew compared to what they experienced last winter.
Right now, Dr Friel says ty are in a race between covariance versus vaccinat.
The best and most effective tool that we have to stop e spread is to get folks vaccinated.
Health care professionals e Dr Friel and Dr Alex Benjan say the goal has never beeo eliminate new cases altoge, but to eliminate the numbef hospitalized patients or ds from the coronavirus.
If you're vaccinated, yourk of getting an infection ise in 10,000.
That's not very big.
So I think my odds are to t vaccinated and the likelihd is you're not going to get infected.
Dr Friel adds.
The best way to reach thatl is to continue to get shots into arms.
We recognize that over 97%f the hospitalized patients t we have seen are those whoe unvaccinated.
